Before reading this section you ensure that you own a blog already. Now its time to customize it. Here I represent some tips to customize your blog.
When you sign in your blogger account google directly promote you to the dashboard . here you can see setting page where you have to fix your blog as you want. In the Basic tab title your blog and don’t forget to give a brief description of it. I suggest a short line that describes the total thing. Next if you want google to list your blog select “yes”. If you select “no” your blog will no longer available to other google services. Then select “yes” in the” Let search engines find your blog?” otherwise search engine will not crawl your site.
Formatting tab contains the no. of your post that will be displayed in the home/ main page. I suggest 3-4 posts. Cause if you select 6-7 or more posts in the main page the home page will be so long. It can take long time to display perfectly while there’s a slower internet connection. On the other hand its looks odd. You can see that all famous co. web pages are not so long.
Comments section describes your comment settings. Personally I highly appreciate user’s comment. So I think I think if you want to share your thought , idea with your readers you should decorate your comment section as your demand.
Site feed tab is the most important tab. Here in the section Post feed redirect URL you have to write the url of your feed that you burnt by
www.feedburner.com or any other sites so that all your post will redirect to that feed automatically. If you don’t have any don’t worry keep it blank. If you want to use third party ad code paste it to Post feed footer . Ads will be displayed in your feed for you.
Now your blog is ready to publish post. Go to POSTING tab. At first give a title to your post. My advice to publishers to write a short title. You can also put a link to this post also in LINK column. Write a post. Don’t forget to leave labels for this post. This helps to identify your particular post easily. In this section you also can edit html code of your post. Later if you wish you can edit your post anytime you want. You can moderate post comment in this section.
Now its time to customize layout tab. Page element tab shows a backside view of your page. You can add any gadget of your choice from various option. Just click add gadget. Remember that if you want to display product ads from google such as adsense you can also add it here as a gadget. I discussed briefly about adsense in another post. One thing important here that is in edit html tab. Here don’t forget to take a back up copy of your template code before doing any edit in it. And if you wish to change your current template you can do it in pick new template tab.
